Hyderabad. Dana Executive Jets, a premier private jet charter and aircraft management company wholly owned by the Government of Ras Al Khaimah, UAE has appointed Air Works India Engineering Pvt. Ltd., India’s leading third party MRO to provide maintenance support for line and base maintenance for its aircraft. This is a first overseas win for any General Aviation MRO in India and stands as testimony to Air Works’ capabilities setting benchmarks in the aviation industry.
Among the key requirements for Dana Executive Jets, the MRO service provider had to meet specified standards as well as have the requisite approval from the General Civil Aviation Authority of UAE (GCAA). After strict due diligence and meeting all the qualifications, Air Works India was contracted to provide maintenance support for line and base maintenance for Dana Executive Jets’ Hawker 800XP, Bombardier Challenger 604 & Gulfstream V aircraft.
“Air Works’ India facilities are not only DGCA approved but are also recognized by GCAA, UAE as well as EASA. Dana Executive Jets has only strengthened the belief in our capabilities which can prove conducive to customers in India to conduct their heavy maintenance jobs within the country rather than seek support overseas”, said Mr Vivek N Gour, Managing Director & CEO at Air Works India Engineering Pvt. Ltd. in a statement issued at the India Aviation.
Dana Executive Jet’s first Hawker 800xp aircraft A6-MAB was redelivered to them on the 21st of February 2014 after the completion of its maintenance checks at Air Works’ General Aviation MRO facility in Mumbai. This inspection comprised 12 monthly checks amongst other tasks. The aircraft inspection was completed within the stipulated time frame given by the customer and the Dana Executive Jets on site representative has appreciated the high standards of maintenance.
