Vistara celebrates the festive season with 3 millionth customer

Kolkata. Vistara, India’s fastest growing full service carrier, on October 28 achieved another milestone of flying 3 million happy customers in less than two years of operations.

Inheriting the lineage of two globally iconic brands – Tata Sons and Singapore Airlines, Vistara has been applauded by flyers for its customer-centric approach and for bringing joy back to flying.

Vistara surprised its 3 millionth customer, Mr Abhinav Adhikari at Kolkata’s Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose International Airport received a pleasant surprise when a grand welcome accompanied by a live acoustic music performance greeted him when he checked in at the airport. Vistara gifted Mr Abhinav Adhikari a courtesy upgrade to Vistara’s Business Class cabin on his flight to Delhi. The special boarding pass was presented by Mr Sanjiv Kapoor, Chief Strategy and Commercial Officer, Vistara.

Mr Abhinav Adhikari had not felt more special at an airport earlier, as he exclaimed, “It is the most wonderful surprise I’ve ever got before taking a flight! Really, it made me feel like a celebrity, and I am extremely touched with such a warm welcome. I was a fan of Vistara until today, but for this amazing surprise, I am now a proud loyalist!”

Expressing delight on the milestone achievement, Mr. Phee Teik Yeoh, CEO, Vistara, said, “There’s nothing more satisfying for us than to see our customers reacting positively to our product and service. 3 million is not just any number to us. Vistara had flown 2 million customers by June 2016, and added another million within just four months. With its rapidly expanding network in India, Vistara recently inducted the 13th brand new A320 aircraft to its fleet and in response to the request of the business communities and leisure travelers, increased its frequency between Kolkata and Bengaluru, now serving two daily direct flights between the metro cities. In less than two years since commencing operations, the airline has expanded its network to 18 destinations across India with 515 weekly flights, connecting India with multiple international destinations via its fast-growing network of interline partners.
